Set in the heart of the Beautiful Yorkshire Dales. This fine Edwardian residence has a wealth of character including beautiful four poster and en-suite rooms. It was built around the turn of the century with many interesting features, including art nouveau fitments in the style of Charles Renée Mackintosh, our visitors are charmed by its spaciousness and attention to detail. Mainsfield also has secure parking for your extra peace of mind while you stay with us.

The lovely breakfast room was once the music room of the original owners the Best family, where the famed Edward Elgar (pictured), composer of such masterpieces as Dream of Gerontius and the Enigma Variations, often played Schubert, Beethoven, Mozart and Rossini with his friends. Elgar’s equally well known Salut d'amour was composed whilst on a visit to Giggleswick and Settle in 1888.
